About Hygge Eco Cabins

Since Hygge Eco Cabins was founded in 2023, we have been committed to providing our guests with the ultimate vacation experience.  Hygge Eco Cabins is designed to be a home away from home accommodation option in the  Snowy Mountains that respects and honours the sensitive and breath-taking environment in which  it is situated.  Our cabins are designed, built and maintained with the environment and sustainability in mind.

The concept for this project started when we first stood on the block in 2014. We saw a special place that we could make our home and build a business that could respect the environment and share the unique features and surroundings with others. Combining our experience in building, business and hospitality it was the perfect forum for creating an eco village that used innovative, natural and sustainable excellence. 

Why Hygge? Hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah”) is a  Danish concept that encompasses the feeling of  quiet comfort. Elements of hygge include plush  textures, greenery, and warm, neutral shades.  The feeling hygge is supposed to evoke is  extreme coziness. From reading a great book to  lighting a candle and sipping hot cocoa, "hygge"  can be expressed in many different ways, but the  premise remains the same: contentment. This was the perfect name for what  we wanted to create.
